Béla Kálmán, (Writer's name: Béla Borsi-Kálmán)

born the 22 march 1948 in Boghis/Roumania. Hungarian since 1963. Graduation in the Arany Janos High School in Budapest. 1973 State-Examination: MA in History and Roumanian Literature at Eötvös Lorand University in Budapest. 1981: First Doctorship: The Hungarian Exile of Louis Kossuth and the Danubian Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia in the period of 1849-1870. 1990 Habilitation-Professor PhD at Eötvös Lorand University in Budapest. Theme:Hungarian Exiles and the Roumanian National Mouvement, 1849-1867. Since 1985 Member of the "Association Internationale d'Etudes du Sud-est européen" /AIESEE, Paris-Bucharest and Member of the Hungarian-Roumanian Committee of Historians. Corresponding member of the french Centre d'Etudes des Civilisations de l'Europe Centrale et du Sud-Est de l'Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales, INALCO, Paris III, Sorbonne. Since 1987 Member of the Hungarian Section of the P.E.N.-Club. From 1990-95 Political Councellor for the first democratic government under Jozsef Antall at the Embassy of Hungary/Bucharest. 1996 Visiting Professor at the Oost Europa Institut of University of Amsterdam. 1999-2003 Political Councellor at the Embassy of Hungary/Paris. Since 2009 Professor of History at  Eötvös Lorand University of Budapest and Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Science. 2011 to august 2015 Political Councellor at the Embassy of Hungary/Paris. Since then again Professor of History at Eötvös Lorand University of Budapest.
